OUR TEAM
Michael is President of Tannery & Company Wealth Management. Since 1981, Michael has worked with business owners both locally and nationally to create, maintain, increase and preserve wealth. He is an Investment Advisor Representative through Linsco/Private Ledger
A Richardson, Texas resident since 1962, and a native Texan, he has been active and involved in the local community through current and past involvement with his alma maters, SMU and JJ Pearce High School, the Richardson YMCA, the Ronald McDonald House of Dallas and his church.
Michael and his wife Tina, married in December 2000, share the parenting of Michael’s three children, Chandler, LynAlise and Hayley. Michael's hobbies include bicycling, playing golf and entertaining friends with cooking and great wines.
Tina, Vice-President and Co-Founder, has worked extensively in the wealth management business since 1985. Tina began her career as a banker with Texas Commerce Bank in Houston. In 1993 she relocated to Dallas, to continue her career within the Chase Bank Trust Services division. Tina joined Merrill Lynch as a financial advisor in 2000. Tina, an Investment Advisor representitve, with Linsco/Private Ledger holds NASD Series 7 and Series 66 licenses.
Acting upon her strong beliefs on the importance of giving back to her community, Tina has been involved with St Luke’s Hospital in Houston, Habitat for Humanity and was the Richardson North Junior High Home Tour Chairperson in 2003.
On a personal note, Tina was born in Detroit, Michigan, yet claims she has been in Texas long enough to almost be a native. Tina enjoys her outside activities of yoga, needlepoint and traveling the back roads of Texas in search of the perfect Bed and Breakfast.
Brian, a Richardson native began working as an independent personal financial advisor in 1988 with Primerica Financial Service and then UBS Financial Services prior to joining Tannery & Company Wealth Management in January 2004. Brian is a Registered Representative with Linsco/Private Ledger and holds the following registrations; NASD Series 6, Series 7, Series 63 and Series 65. He is also an Investment Advisor representative.
Brian graduated from Texas Tech University with a BBA in 1979 and a MBA in 1981. While attending Texas Tech, he was a resident advisor for Texas Tech housing and residence life.
Brian and his wife Melinda, married since 1986, currently spend most of their time attending their three boys, Bryce (14), Cole (12) and Jake's (9) activities. Longtime members of Prestonwood Baptist Church, both he and Melinda are actively involved in the children’s ministry and AWANA’s. Brian spends his limited free time hunting and fishing, with an occasional round of golf.
Doug began his brokerage career as a financial advisor for Edward Jones in 1994. After gaining more than a decade of experience with several high-profile investment firms, Doug joined Tannery & Company Wealth Management in 2006 as a way to provide comprehensive wealth management strategies in a highly personalized environment. He maintains the Series 6, Series 7, Series 63 and Series 65 through Linsco/Private Ledger (LPL).
Raised in Orange, Texas, Doug is a graduate of Texas State University where he earned a B.A. Degree in Political Science and was an active member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity.
Doug married his wife, Jacy, in May 2005, and the couple lives in North Dallas. An avid sailor, Doug spends weekends sailing on Lake Texoma with Jacy and their dog, Skipper. He enjoys reading, traveling and staying informed on news and current events.
Lesa joined Tannery & Company Wealth Management in August 2005 as our Client Coordinator. Lesa’s background includes over 20 years of detail oriented, hands-on customer service in a number of diverse fields. In addition to her time spent as an Event Coordinator, Lesa also has experience in restaurant management and catering. Regardless of the field, Lesa understands the importance of providing outstanding customer service to each and every client.
Taking business classes at Tyler Junior College, Richland College, and Northlake College has enhanced Lesa’s business acumen and organizational skills. Blending her love of sewing with her business savvy, she founded DressUp!, a company for which she designed and made one-of-a-kind custom costumes and accessories for children.
Although Lesa grew up in Tyler, her husband Mark is a native of Richardson. Lesa and Mark have lived in Dallas, Miami, Atlanta, Ft. Lauderdale, and are happy to be back in Richardson. Lesa and Mark have been married since 1994 and have one daughter, Gabrielle. Lesa is an active volunteer at Gabrielle’s school, Aldridge Elementary, serving this year as the Grade Level Coordinator as well as a library volunteer. In her leisure time, Lesa enjoys riding her bike, sewing, reading, working out, and relaxing with a good movie.
