Investment Management

Personal Asset Management*

Many professionals believe the best investors in the world are large university endowments and family offices, that is, families with $100 million or more who usually have their own investment office. They’re generally intelligent, patient and long-term investors. They employ multi-asset class portfolios with an emphasis on alternative investments. At Tannery & Company Wealth Management, we’ve taken this discipline to our clients and their individual wealth management plans and investments.

A key path to reaching financial goals is through a disciplined, consistent, time-tested investment strategy. Each client's personal asset allocation allows for participation in the growth potential of the world economy through equities, stable, relatively consistent income from bonds and the low correlation performance of alternative investments.

In crafting a client's personal asset allocation, we create a blueprint of their financial life that takes into account all sources of income, expenses, investment assets, liabilities and unique items. The Family Investment Index allows us to explore with our clients the tradeoffs of investing in different asset allocation mixes. When the right balance of portfolio return and volatility is reached, the decision is seamlessly integrated with your financial goals and risk tolerance.

Stock investing involves risk, including loss of principal.  Bonds are subject to market and interest rate risk if sold prior to maturity.  Bond values will decline as interest rates rise and are subject to availability and change in price.  Bonds are subject to credit risk.  Investing in an alternative investment may not be suitable for all investors and involves special risks such as risk associated with leveraging the investment, potential adverse market forces, regulatory changes, and potential illiquidity.  There is no assurance that the investment objective will be attained.
